I am listening to classical music (opera) on Radio Canada French. A conductor is being interviewed: he is conducting La Boheme in Edmonton these days. And he sounds quite busy (he conducted a libretto called Penelope for his mentor,an opera singer whom I missed the name (Barbara something)). I am hearing La Boheme right now on the radio: it sounds beautiful. I think it is in German.  Listen here.

In Toronto, around 2008-2009, we used to go to the opera often. It was my initiative. We saw Mozart, Rossini, Gluck and Poulenc. We went only once to the opera here, to see Hansel and Gretel by Engelbert Humperdinck.

You can view the trailer here of this exquisite production. The tickets cost us only 25$ each for some obscure reason! Take a look, it was so very nice.

For Hansel and Gretel, many very young children sang as the chorus and they were so professional it was very impressive. It was a beautiful production in Vancouver the first couple oof years we arrived here. Actually, I just looked and it was in 2016.
