When their grandma passed aways, i sent the kids of my god old friend from cegep, a cactus with flowers, telling them their love for their grandma and their care will keep the cactus flowering. I am pretty sure my Godmother gave me such a gift when my maternal or paternal grandma passed away. Its a cute tradition for young children, to keep the love for their grandparents alive while mourning, often for the first time of their lives.
