She is my all time favourite quebec woman writer. Though I thought her poetry boring , her novels are gems. Kamouraska, Les fous de bassants, both of which movies were made at the time. Les fous de bassan is a particualrly genius novel whose film captures how I thought of it really well, I seem to believe. 

Cher Eric est avec Genevieve Bujold au paradis. Elle avait joué dans dead ringers avec Jeremy Irons. Mais elle s'est fait vraiment classique quebecois avec Kamouraska.
