Those napolitaine pastries, god knows where they orginated and were invented, my guess is minimum 17th century, italy maybe, anyway, they are so very gourmandes! The experience is intense in how sweetly flaky and delicious this dessert with whipped cream and layers fluffy is. I am no longer sure where I tasted such fine desserts before. I never spent much money on coffee pastries in Europe the only summer we visited. Yet I always was educated with 18th century french and european pastries. It must be a revival of some future or past lives because god knows I would be surprised if my mom knew any of it in her conscious mindfulness about what I saw her tell me as I grew up. Who was this mother energy that haunted my upbringing at the ferland lavigne? I can only say a claudette in a far future. Who was unfortunately, wiser than i think she was. Yay truly.
