He just passed away a few months back at his home in his 80s. He is better than Dylan in my mind though less extensive career.  It is a really good album. I heard it on the radio and went out and bought it. It is so good I told Hubby who is also here, listening to Rodriguez. Throwback to 2020 I think. It is so good, so very good. He was big, unbeknowst to him, for decades, in south africa. This is what relauched his career: when his daughter I think figured out how big a star he had been all those years in SA though a complete nobody in the states who had had to get to work in manual labour jobs.  Yet he had never stopped playing for hobby.
