From what it looks like, there is 5K and up of work necessary for now. He has not seen a vet again after 2 years post surgery of his canines (lower). It would be terrible if we had to put him down because he costs 10-20K in dental treatment...I always thought he would die young, he was so fucked up in the mouth from day one and frail, always sick etc. he seems exceedingly happy with us. And so are we with him. When we almost lost him to an overdose of meds stupidely prescribed by an incompetent vet, i pleaded with God to let him live longer with us, we had just gotten him at 8 months a few months earlier or a year. We nursed him back to health on three occasions: his canine surgery, his neuter, and his overdose of meds. In 2 years. He cost about 7K in vet bills on tops of the regular stuff. We may very well have to euthanise him. but not until the last moment. So not for anohter 4-5 years hopefully.
