When I had a full time 9-6pm job, what I hated the most were meetings. Oh, his just ended finally. It has been a very long day. I waited for 3 hours. Spent 18$ in fancy coffees and 20$ on a pack of smoke since I did not bring mine while waiting. Had a nice long chat with the owner of the cafe, a japanese young man of about 30 max who moved to BC I forget when and opened his cafe last october after being sponsored for  a visa. He comes from the north end of japan, where it is very cold and it snows a lot. He loves BC and his coffee is super bitter, the bitterest I ever drank, and comes delicately decorated with milk, perfect japanese mastery of the art of drawing with foamy milk on coffees.

The area where hubby and I went today is okay. We took a cab. I saw a young school for immigrants and their kids it looked like. A payloan yellow shop. A gas station and at least three banks. Plus, tucked off the main drag, the japanese cafe where I spent three hours today.
