We got her at a few months old, 2 I think.  She was so tiny I brought her home and set her up in a huge box of old vintage clothes, with lots of sweaters.  I seem to recall she did not move from there for a couple of days. Unless we went to get her and see her and care for her. She showed sign of a destiny as an outdoor cat so I spayed her mighty early: at 5 months, at the city vet for a cheap fee in Toronto. The dogs were her parents in many ways I think. Certainly family. She had many suitors and we had a roommate with two cats (we had three dogs too) for a while before we had to sell our Toronto house. as an outdoor cat, she has lived in Toronto, Montreal, surrey and coquitlam. In surrey, one pure bred cat became totally obsessed and in love fascination  with her: he would come and see her through our open window at night. An old teacher of hers, obviously I thought, visited here in Coquitlam as a stray cat who hung out on our porch for a week or two. She almost died only twice that I saw: by car and once by eating what we think was anti freeze. She was safe with the car in the end but the anti freeze cost us 700$. They took amazing care of her at the vet for a few days and every vet clinic has always admired how easy she was to examined and fiddle with at the vet and with doctors. Very wise cat.
