I have a faint recall that it must have been around 2003, just before I went to India while hubby was away. I stayed too long into town at a bar with two people just met that night, a brother and sister, and missed my tram to the suburb. I ended up asking if I could crash at their place when we all left the bar. They hesitated then accepted. It was the most daring social thing I ever did. We chatted all night, no drinking I dont think, and everyone went peacefully their separate ways into their rooms to sleep. I slept on the couch. The morning after was not awkward and it was nice to have this breakfast with bro and sister. I forget how we said goodbye but we never called each other ever and never knew each other except for about 20 hours. Yet they offered me shelter for the night. Astounding. I had a lot of guts and after much consideration, might have been for a while super social. And adept at it.
