They called my vet and thought my cat was not seen enough in the last 9 years at that vet. She was seen about 5 times. They insist on yearly check ups as the only way to own a cat according to them. Whatever. I agreed to it.
The fact that my last cat was never ill and lived helathily for 15 years is not enough proof to them that I can take care of my cat and bring her to the vet only when she needs to be seen. I studied vet tech for a year for christ sake and grew up with a vet dad.
The rescue seems to not allow free roaming outdoor cat life either. Indoor outdoor life. They are nuts to have such high standards. I guess they are in no rush to get their cats adopting to all loving home so they can be kept in business. Pathetic high standards that means only very rich and wealthy and extremely uptight or scared and controlling people can get their cats.
