I had a plan and adventure to offer to hubby with dogs today: find out how good the burritos are at original mexicano mercado on lougheed highway or barnet I forget the name. The staff is delightful and I would love to be from their family.

Let talks burrito compared to korean style at kook's kook. Kook's kook is superbly creative. Mercado is okay but nothing new there. You have to buy minumum two tacos for one person. They seem to not sell any tacos unless you buy minimum two, about 12$. They have chicken and pescado I think as garnish for everything if you want either. It comes with delicious green hot sauce.

The burrito tasted so much like souvlaki in the choice of chicken that I was a bit suprised. Well, I got that wrong. It tasted like lebanese chicken wrap, shawarma rather than souvlaki. Yes, definitely. As for the beans and queso and many other delicious unidentified ingredient traditional mexican, they were awesome tasting in this huge fat burrito packed with fresh food.

18,50$ per burrito, about 21$ with taxes.

No side dish with it, just burrito.

This place is a TAKE OUT place first but they have a counter to eat at if you dont mind the heat of inside the cooking kitchen restaurant, and, where we oursleves sat, one table outside on the sidewalk. We had both ou dogs and they finished my shawarma influenced mexican chicken in my burrito. I finished the beans. It seems fairly popular though no one eats on site. I suggest to try it. And you can go visit the cats at the BC spca next door in the same plaza as the mexican restaurant take out. A huge persian restaurant is also there.
