Poor husband has only eaten this morning, a scone with a coffee and much chocolate all day. I had corn but he cannot with his dentures. So I am making soup for him.

The recipe comes from three sailing sisters of the west coast in their wonderfully delicous and illustrated Sea Salt: recipes from the west coast galley, or something like that. It is a recipe book when you go one extensive sails. Though not that convenient and quick and low on fuel... But this fennel potage with potato is ultra simple.  i need fresher fennel seeds, mine dont smell like anything when cooked anymore...
