I read the words of Tolstoy, who seemed to have been quite mad deep down with sufferings....He did say something like 'feeling the pains of others is being a human being'. Spontaneously, I liked it when I read it. But then I thought: hum, not really, that was Jesus thing on the cross. Not any human beings can do that: feel other people's pain. We can perhaps only love them and help them by sympathy.
