The abundance of beauty in this wintery sunny day, full of snow is breathtaking. I have put on the chöd ceremony from Tenzin Palmo's nunnery. I wish to dedicate the merit of this bountiful day for the peace and ease and happiness and awakening of all sentient beings.
Listening to the chöd ceremony is my way of thanking Buddha for bountiful ease and love and happiness.
Though I wanted to fast earlier, maybe I could make food for 8pm. A nice toscane veggie soup full of flavours.
UPDATE
I made the soup but used less cannellini beans and kale. The celeri was pretty old but tasted fine. We will have a nice meal tonight when hubby comes home at 7-8pm.
See the toscane soup recipe here!
The soup perfumes the whole kitchen and house: nice! Loads of veggies and kale and savoy or nappa cabbage. Cannellini beans, bacon 3 thick slices, bay leaves, 1 onion, 3 carottes and 2 celeri ribs and crushed fired roasted tomatoes, garlic, salt and pepper. It takes quite a while to cook but it is so worth it.
I decided againts walking 2km to the cheaper grocery for fresh products and went next door: rather expensive: 24$ for not much- kale, two cans of beans, tomato paste, one crushed tomatoe can, two avocadoes, one lemon. Pretty pricey.
I had the soup: nice comfort heavy chunky food! Served with a touch of parmesan.
