They dont all come to see the attic before giving an estimate, the price range between 2K and 4K. And they all sound vaguely scammy. One company wanted all our credit card info even though we were paying by etransfer the deposit. They wanted full payment before they turned up if we did not want to give our card info. Bullshit.

So scammy is that market! It sounds like a quick money grab truly for not much work done.

I am hoping I have found a professional company by now but I have yet to see what he charges. We wont go with the second company seen yesterday: their paperwork is horrid and their ethics is supsicious in that they ask for credit card full info (cvv ncluded) for no reason.
