I am glad hubby said to wait and we did not get whiskey euthanised within 2 hours of him falling at nearly 17 years old. He is pretty comatose now and may have lost consciousness by tomorrow morning. We are getting him to the vet pronto tomorrow. He has had 2 gabapentin. I just spent an hour caressing lightly his head an dface and flanks while he sleeps or tries to. I told him , whispering and crying a little here and there, how much good he had brought into my life and everyone's life he met. And I asked God to make always of Whsikey a teacher to me, so I can learn his total peace and loving attitude so holy wihtout any agression whatsoever. I have long forgotten a TON of my life with whiskey due to pot and also because he was mostly hubby'S dog after the first few years.
But I will never ever forget whiskey though I havd no memory of our shared memories. May he never be far in all my lives, no matter as a bird, a human, a dog , a bunny or a piece of the sky. he was very much a healer of my distress and calmed me many times by his mere zen love and peace attitude. This is everything I have been whispering to him tonight, while sitting on the floor next to him. i added blankets under his neck and head and on him a bit, because the window is opened.
