Thomas Merton's No man is an island.

So far, I fell right into it and find it marvelous. It is about the spiritual life. He was a peace activist anti vietnam war monk trappist in the states. So far he pinpoints that to have anxiety is quite normal for humans though it is spiritual insecurity. But he , and I agree with him, says being happy optimist is not always the reasonable thing to be in such a tough world. so far so good. i hav had these thoughts myself over the years of my life. He turly writes well and is a joy to read.

My last books I read was In love with the world and Turning confusion into clarity both by mingyur rinpoche, in 2023.
