Today is a very holy, the holiest, day in tibetan buddhism: the day of birth, enlightenment and paranirvana of buddha shakyamuni. Laurel woke me up meowing next to me and cuddling in passing to the window.
I have put deva premal and mantras for turbulent times. Om benza satto hung is being recited right now. I think it is a purification mantra.
The days have been dreary with hubby's moods recently. I am tired this morning from last nigth fight, for no reason, because of his anger explosions unreasonable. The mantras are being sung, Om benza satto hung Om benza satto hung Om benza satto hung Om benza satto hung
I better go get some small lamps for the shrine for saga dawa. Or flowers, more ecologically friendly than so many plastic lamps.
I dedicate today to practicing only virtues and kind thinking and selfless behaviour. May Buddha's Life and Teachings guide us all today. Om muni muni mahamuni svoha
May we rejoice today in virtues of compassion and ethics of boddhissatvas. May we alll take the vows of the boddhissatvas. And uphold them as best as we can. Om tare tuttare ture svoha Om mani peme hung
