I saw a most handsome healthy young family onthe street (there are a few). The woman is now letting her cat out despite warnings about coyotes and racoons by her landlord. I tend to agree with her move: cats benefit a lot from roaming close by outside a couple hours each day. Cats are not like dogs and exploring on their own is fabulous I suspect. Real cool cat life full of meetings and adventures. The word in BC is never to allow your cats out. To me this is a bit of a trend. But the good thing about this indoor only obsession in all pounds in BC: I am on the ball and call my cats all morning and look for them every morning. They are never, in that sense, without any supervision. Also, the whole street knows about Laurel and informs me of his whereabouts when he is late in the morning coming back.
