Jean leloup was introduced to me by Vero Belanger when I was 15.
She loved him as a 'genius' she kept saying. She was right in many simple sense. I met him in person with Jerry at a cafe in 2003 in Montreal. He commented passing by that 'Jerry was loyal' though he barely stopped to pet him.
He was a genius in the simplicity he retained despite quite a bit of fame underground and mainstream in quebec. A marginal and original for sure. My generation just a bit older.
