It is obvious much much care was taken in the writing of this book. The skill in it makes it nice kids LITERATURE, not just another kids stories.

The descriptions are numerous and lovely.

I bawled my eyes out at the description of the last threads of charlotte's webs in the barn, which disappear. Three of her children stay with Wilbur. Charlotte the grey spider saved Wilbur the pig's life. A true freind,indeed. Wholeft a whole lineage of grea great grand children behind, to keep company to wilbur forever. Such a very sweet story and so beautifully charmingly wisely written.

I should re write all my kids books except The gigantic bowl , like that.

Or rather, maybe especially The gigantic bowl. It is about 8 pages now I think, it could be made into 12.
