It is a very interesting 1.5 hour talk and I am 45 minutes into it.
I am taking a short break to write my reflections on it on the blog. Much talk about attention and mindful concentration.
The talk concerns Tsonghkhapa lam rim, stages to the path, from the 11th century. The nun reads from a book after much meditation talk and prayers at first for 20 minutes.
This attention is good for my brain. Listening to two talks a day, to stay away from smokes, I should have about 30 days of talks twice a day. This is good to get my body and mind especially to be ATTENTIVE to something else than cigarettes. i feel my brain is fatigued from listening to already two talks today. One from bikkhu pannakara, live in Richmond, VA and one by the nun at sravasti abbey today, on repeat.
* I have yet to start reading again this book in French by Martin Gray. I put it aside this week end and should get back into it. No smoking while reading either. It is the way. May it not be too late to avoid oral cancer. And no more booze ever as it is dreadful for oral cancer when coupled with smokes...
