In the old days, it was prevalent to lose your kids before the age of 5. Human kids. That is why women had up to 16-17 children: so many died in young age. I feel a bit the same with my philosophy of pets. Hubby and I give the best care to all our pets and never ever abandoned any. We eve truly rescued a few (apollo, jerry and m'kwaa). But the more pets you have over your lifetime, the higher the likelihood of tragedies encountered just because well, life is dangerous and we all die and suffer for it.
Unless someone CHASES us with a new free cat one day, i really doubt hubby and I will ever pursue adopting more cats after Hardy. No matter firmlyI believe of offering freedom to all my pets if they so wish it to bloom and evolve and grow up, I am getting a bit down at this two pets dead in young age over 10 in 30 years.
Both cats. Cats are super hard to maintain alive if you dont keep them indoor only. But they may be crazy if kept indoor.
