What a splendid cat he is, being so fat.
The dogs are playing in the salon and Hardy is in the kitchen with me.
I may play with him if he starts meowing out of boredom. Oh, he went to sit on his favourite bag. Lovely company to me this morning.
Hardy is very easy to look after as he is wise.
Laurel was always a hot head ready to fight or be bold and daring. He obviously would not live old when I got him. He was totally not suited for indoor only lifestyle.
Laurel wandered for a few weeks too, during his outings. People saw him as far as further than the gas station. But it is when I realized he went to Mundy that I expected him to die very fast. I did consider rehoming him that day but hubby did not want to hear of it. If we ever get more cats and see this happen again, I am rehoming that young cat. Only the occasional cat wanders and crosses austin. I saw two, including Laurel, in 14 years. It is NOT a wise cat move and most cats stay the heck away from austin avenue and mundy park. Only those who die young hang around that area as cats.
My sister has a very blessed with long life spca cat she lets out daily in downtown montreal. He crosses huge avenues, full of traffic, and she has had him for a good 5 years so far. Just like for humans, longevity is a blessing and not a given to all beings at each of their lifetimes.
