In the first ever poem I read of BJG, way back in 1996, he had been published down under in a journal and he used the phrase 'butterfly cascade'. He was the first published poet I ever spoke to.  

I had written poetry in high school for school projects. But I started reading poets on my own free time  from then on, yes, after the poem speaking of the 'butterfly cascade'.
