This massive heart attack of an owl

is suspended like a scream in thin air

muted by the foliage and rain

kewick! hoo, hooo! twit hoo

Her mate is next to her

getting scared at losing her

and she calls and calls so much

that a human finds the dying bird

and ressucitates it with care

now the owl lives in a hospital for prey birds

and roams at night by the opening of the locale

one day she will be released

another lease on her life

and start fresh again

to meet her beloved from whom she had to part

Her beloved has hooked up with another owl

a male this time it seems

oh but look: its been a dream!

Now 6 monhts later the wounded owl is back 

and the threesome forever more

hoots forth and back.
