Buddhist do believe all that we visualize and see and think is a product of our mind, a projection of our own mind. When I thought I was autistic because I was so senstitive to ambiant noise, I was very stressed out by people yelling in their yards and playing. Hearing all that noise really drained me those evening. I was ultra sensitive and prone to anxiety. I would just meditate in my diary to spend time occupying my mind at something else than hearing the noise of the hood. I had a bit of that sensory sensitivity in Toronto, an even more loud town than here. Now I just meditate through it. I sometimes even almost enjoy it.The sound of birds is so nice. The cars less so of course. And the trucks.
