I totally forget who Benji was on TV but this is him as close as it gets.
The orginal couple with adoption of the orginal Benji have spur an amazing wave of adoptions in shelters when the movie Benji came out in 1974.
THIS is a pet lover life well lived according to me. I wish I could have done as much as them for pets and dogs in shelters.
