They are getting quite wounded by the harsh conditions and lack of gear. They refuse too much gear. The atheist in me (the philosopher only) understands that walking barefeet in america is impossible on pavement, for 2300 miles, especially in rain and snow or whatever.

The devote monk who speaks may think americans have not prayed hard enough for their belssings onto them, the monks, to finish the walk.

I really really doubt they will finish the walk.

It is a way better ending than being lynched by crazy fukced up christians who are nothing jesus in them at all....(that was my panic last time I stayed up to write the blog)
