The whole house has retired to sleep except me. It is almost 21H00.
I may wander to bed sooner rather than later.
The monks for peace are resting a bit and other monks from the walk do the talks with the crowds nowadays. Today unfortunately, I did not understand the thai monk because of his accent and my second langage english. I pray they all are allowed some deep rest.
They have been walking nonstop I believe for 94 days.
Sleeping on the floor, walking in rain and ice, eating a single meal a day before noon, walking 20 miles daily (32 km).
They are not 20 years old. They are all in their 40s and 50s or 60s.
The longest hike I ever did was a three weeks 135 km hike.
The hardest day was about 30 km with 50 liters backpack packed to the brim, no more than twice in 3 weeks. What they have been doing, thanks also to a great team, is close to miraculous. May they be protected, safe and may they get some rest.
