The childhood I heard of him sounded surrounded by demons and tough nut jobs in his family. the fact this David now can live alone, and look at times so good for an old man so cognitvely impaired when he talks at times (says Brian and others), is a truth of God's miracle with making a man inordinarily holy from brokennes physical and sufferings. Everyone knows him on the streets and at the austin station plaza. Some fear him because he is odd. But most people just know to say hi to him and chit chat if they so feel like it. He will always chat to anyone. This is My God in the flesh. One of His living miracles.
