One of the monks have had the same 3 robes for over 10 years:patched and mended all along. Their vow of renunciation is so very intense and upheld: so impressive and I do hope they will mellow out thir ascetism by the time they are older.

To take care of their bodies and themselves.

Why do they renounce everything like that? They believe merit ensuing will lead them to enlightenment for all sentient beings? faith is a strong force. Their lives are so respectable and impressive. May they get whatever their heart wished when they took their vows. amen Om shanti om.
